Kitchen Remodel on the Cheap
- Two Toned Kitchen
Colorful blues and greens replace the tired pickled cabinets in this Florida beach inspired kitchen.
We recently returned from a relaxing trip to Greenport, NY. As I mentioned in my Wednesday’s blog post there is plenty of interesting architecture to enjoy in this seaside town. But now I want to share some of the other treasures to be found here. Being a seaside town there are several extensive marinas’. Unfortunately the weather was a little inclement while we were there so we weren’t able to go out on the water. I was really looking forward to taking the tour! But I did see lots of beautiful vessels.

I just got back from a short vacation to Long Island. It is so interesting to see the different architectural styles as you travel. Living in Florida you don’t see as many historical homes as you do in the north. And as much as we are known for having colorful architectural, think of the Art Deco architecture in South Beach or the Key West style, I tend to think of the Northern style as more subdued. Visiting the seaside town of Greenport, NY showed me that is not entirely true. We saw many brightly painted homes either the whole house or the accent colors.
Purple Door With Blue Trim
Love the purple door with the blue trim. Really sets it off against the weathered siding.
